UTP SIP Market Holiday Reminder: Thanksgiving

What you need to know:

  • The UTP Plan participants and U.S. equities and options markets will be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2017, and will close early on Friday, November 24, 2017, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • To accommodate the early closing schedule, the UTP Securities Information Processor (UTP SIP) will adjust the closing transmission schedules for its data services. For the modified closing times on November 24, 2017, please refer to the UTP SIP Transmission Schedule.

What will close early?

U.S. markets and the Unlisted Trading Privileges (UTP) Plan participants will close three hours early on Friday, November 24, 2017. The early close schedule will be:

Market Session Normal Hours Eastern Time (ET) Early Close Hours (ET)
Pre-Market Trading Session 4:00 a.m. to 9:29 a.m. 4:00 a.m. to 9:29 a.m.
Regular Market Session 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Post-Market Trading Session 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is the UTP data feed schedule for November 24th, 2017?

To accommodate the early closing schedule, the UTP SIP will adjust the closing transmission schedules for its data services. For the modified closing times on November 24, 2017 please refer to the UTP SIP Transmission Schedule on the UTP Plan website for a detailed listing of early close message timing.

Please note that all trade transactions reported after 1:00 p.m., ET, should be marked with an appropriate extended-hours sale condition modifier on UTP early close dates.

Can test data be disseminated on the early close for November 24, 2017?

Yes, during non-market hours, the UTP SIP may broadcast unmarked test data. Data recipients should take necessary precautions to protect their systems against database corruption during evenings, weekends, early close and market holidays.
