What you need to know:

  • As announced in Data News #2014-3, NASDAQ OMX eSpeed will soon support an ITCH data feed offering for the eSpeed U.S. Treasury Market.
  • As part of the new product rollout schedule, NASDAQ OMX will offer a beta testing period for eSpeed ITCH clients, effective immediately.
  • The eSpeed ITCH feed is targeted for Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

What is eSpeed?

NASDAQ OMX eSpeed is recognized as a trusted source of U.S. Treasury information to the global financial community with industry-leading market data sourced directly and exclusively from the NASDAQ OMX eSpeed Trading Platform. NASDAQ OMX eSpeed provides the true representation of the U.S. Treasury marketplace capturing the liquidity of T-Bills, T-Notes, T-Bonds, and Floating Rate Notes.

What is changing?

NASDAQ OMX will soon launch an eSpeed ITCH data feed as a higher performance, alternative service for eSpeed U.S. Treasury clients. The new eSpeed ITCH feed will feature full market depth and automated retransmission capabilities for the NASDAQ OMX eSpeed trading platform.

What are the scheduled test dates?

NASDAQ OMX eSpeed will operate the eSpeed ITCH feed in a beta test mode which began Thursday, August 14th, 2014. The eSpeed Beta system will publish on a real-time, intraday basis from NASDAQ OMX’s Carteret data center. When will the new data feeds be available in production?

NASDAQ OMX targets the release of the eSpeed ITCH data feed for production Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

Will the new eSpeed ITCH feed replace the existing eSpeed feeds?

No, eSpeed ITCH is being offered as another option for the delivery of eSpeed data. NASDAQ OMX does not have any immediate plans to phase out the eSpeed API or current eSpeed multicast data feed.

Current eSpeed market data clients may find the ITCH specification on the eSpeed Secure Page of the NASDAQ OMX Trader® website.
