Nasdaq Updates Specifications for Extended Trading Close

The Nasdaq Stock Market has posted updated specifications to support the Extended Trading Close (ETC), as mentioned in Equity Trader Alert #2021 – 69. Pending SEC approval, the ETC will be available in Q4 2021.

To support the new ETC order type, the following trade protocols will support a new Time-in-Force (TIF) and Cross Type as indicated below:

FIX Lite E A

Additionally, the aforementioned specifications have also been updated to include a new Liquidity Flag:
