What you need to know:

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Nasdaq will participate in the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) annual industry-wide business continuity test.

Nasdaq Fund Network (NFN) pricing agents and market data vendors are strongly encouraged to test and verify connectivity to Nasdaq’s Disaster Recovery data centers. The standard Saturday testing hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time (ET).

What is the SIFMA industry-wide test?

Since 2003, SIFMA coordinated an annual industry-wide business continuity test in October. This SIFMA test is intended to exercise the financial industry's ability to operate through a significant emergency using backup sites, recovery facilities and backup communications capabilities across the industry. The test is supported by all major exchanges, markets and industry utilities. For details, please refer to the SIFMA Industry Testing page.

Who should participate in the test?

Nasdaq strongly recommends that all NFN subscribers with direct data center access participate in the NFN/SIFMA test on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

NFN CTCI subscribers may use the test as an opportunity to verify connectivity to Nasdaq’s Ashburn, VA data center. NFN website users and NFNDS subscribers may use this test opportunity to verify connectivity to Nasdaq’s Chicago, IL data center.

How do I register for the NFN disaster recovery test?

NFN subscribers should email the testing registration form to Nasdaq Fund Network Operations no later than Thursday, October 13, 2022.

NFN Ops will monitor the nfnops@nasdaq.com inbox and 301-978-5307 (Option 6) phone call for NFN testing participants on October 15, 2022. The testing details will be sent to registered NFN subscribers upon registration.

Who should I contact for more information?
