To avoid any disruptions to the Nasdaq BX data feeds on Monday, October 9, Nasdaq strongly advises firms to ensure their Carteret “A”, “B”, and Chicago DR feeds are active. Please note, these changes only affect the Carteret “A” instance of the data feeds. The Carteret “B” Feeds and Chicago DR Source IP addresses will not be changed. What is being announced?
Nasdaq is changing the IP network address used to disseminate the Nasdaq BX New York Metro ‘A” data feeds, as well as GLIMPSE and re-request services. Multicast Group addresses will stay the same. The following data feeds will be impacted:
- Nasdaq BX TotalView-ITCH
- Nasdaq BX GLIMPSE
- Nasdaq BX Best Bid and Offer (BX BBO)
- Nasdaq BX Last Sale (BLS)
- Nasdaq BX MatchView
Customers are required to accept the following new IP network on their appropriate connections to Nasdaq:
New Source IP network: 206.200.243.224/28 – Multicast
The 206.200.240.0/22 network is an existing unicast network. For those customers accepting that network already, no changes are necessary.
To ensure a smooth transition, Nasdaq will publish from the new source during the User Acceptance Tests (UAT) below, for customers to test their network configurations. Please note, since the group addresses are staying the same, Nasdaq will be unable to publish the data over the two source IP address ranges in parallel.
What is the new Source IP address?
The new source IP is currently available for customers to request. For the new IP information, please refer to the UDP/IP Addresses – U.S. Equity Market Data Feeds page on Nasdaq Trader. Please note, the Source IP Address is a range, not a specific IP Address.
Will there be new IP address information for BX GLIMPSE?
Yes. Nasdaq has introduced new IP information for BX GLIMPSE that will run in parallel until Monday, October 9, 2017. Please note, firms login credentials will not change. The new BX GLIMPSE destination IP address is provided below:
IP: 206.200.243.231
Port:18180
Are there testing opportunities?
Nasdaq will have one more user acceptance test (UAT) on Saturday, October 7. Nasdaq strongly encourages subscribers to participate to confirm connectivity.
A hot-cut from the previous Source IP Address will occur on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Will existing firms need to complete new agreements to gain access to the new IP Address information?
No. Existing firms will not be required to complete any new agreements to receive the data over the new Source IP Address. Firms will need to make the necessary configuration changes on their end in order to receive the data.
