Why is Nasdaq making this change?

On June 30th, 2016, Nasdaq acquired the International Securities Exchange, an operator of three electronic options exchanges, from Deutsche Börse Group. The acquisition will improve efficiencies for clients, expand the company’s technology offerings and create more opportunities to innovate within the equity options industry.

As part of its integration, Nasdaq will be moving ISE option markets to the state-of-the-art Nasdaq INET platform. Nasdaq will also be migrating ISE index products to the Nasdaq Global Index Data Service (GIDS) and Nasdaq Global Index Watch (GIW) platform.

What is changing?

Effective Monday, May 1st, 2017, Nasdaq will be the primary disseminator of the three ISE indexes listed above. Real-time ISE index data will be disseminated via the GIDS data feed. Current GIDS subscribers should automatically begin receiving directory and intra-day index data for the ISE index symbols on May 1st. ISE end of day Index levels will also be available on GIW.

Clients who already are subscribed to the Nasdaq GIDS feed will begin receiving these instruments with their current subscription and license.

What do clients need to do to receive these new indexes?

Clients should fill in the following form to ensure their services are not impacted during the migration and ensure they are correctly licensed whether taking data directly or via a third party provider. GIDS via this link or email
