What you need to know:

Effective Monday, June 9th, 2025, Nasdaq will change the name of the following Indexes on the Nasdaq Global Index Data Service SM (GIDS).

What are the indexes?

The OMX Finland Sustainability Indexes are created for responsible investments. The indexes are calculated by NASDAQ OMX in cooperation with ISS, a leading research and service provider for responsible investments. The indexes comprise the leading companies in terms of sustainability and are selected based on how well they meet the criteria for environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. The criteria’s are based upon international guidelines for ESG issues and supports investor considerations to the UN Principles for Responsible Investments. ISS conducts the sustainability assessment by rating the companies according to their model ISS oekom Corporate Rating The top ranked companies are included in the indexes. The indexes are also free float adjusted and liquidity screened to ensure investability.

What are the changes?

On June 9th, 2025, data recipients will receive real-time index information from the proprietary GIDS data feed with the following attributes:

Nasdaq will support the following directory messages on GIDS:

  • Equities Summary (Message Type F): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. and European trading session to relay the summary of the current trading day's activity for an equity index.
  • Index Directory (Message Type R): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
