What are the indexes?
The Nasdaq Crypto Index is designed to measure the performance of a significant portion of the digital asset market and to provide a benchmark for institutional investment in this new and emerging asset class. The Index is specifically designed to be dynamic in nature, broadly representative of the market, and readily trackable by investors.
The Nasdaq Crypto Settlement Price Index (NCIS) is a daily closing value of the Nasdaq Crypto Index (NCI), which is designed to measure the performance of a significant portion of the digital asset market and to provide a benchmark for institutional investment in this new and emerging asset class. The Index is specifically designed to be dynamic in nature, broadly representative of the market, and readily trackable by investors.
What are the changes?
On January 20th, 2026, data recipients will receive real-time index information from the proprietary GIDS data feed with the following attributes:

Nasdaq will support the following directory messages on GIDS:
- Equities Summary (Message Type F): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. and European trading session to relay the summary of the current trading day's activity for an equity index.
- Index Directory (Message Type R): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
