What is the NASDAQ systems integration update?
As announced in Head Trader Alert #2006-131, NASDAQ® plans to begin the systems integration of NASDAQ, Brut and INET on Monday, October 16, 2006, with 20 NASDAQ-listed securities. The integration will continue on Monday, October 23rd with 200 additional NASDAQ-listed securities.
The full NASDAQ-listed integration schedule is as follows:
- October 16, 2006: 20 NASDAQ-listed securities (text or csv format)
- October 23, 2006: 200 NASDAQ-listed securities (text or csv format)
- October 30, 2006: completion of integration for NASDAQ-listed securities
How will NASDAQ test the effect of Corporate Actions?
NASDAQ will apply a corporate dividend of $0.50 on symbol ZXZZT effective Thursday, October 12, 2006. Firms can enter quotes and GTC orders through Wednesday, October 11th. Firms should see their quotes and orders adjusted accordingly on Thursday.
When will NASDAQ hold the next User Acceptance Test?
NASDAQ will hold a UAT Sunday, October 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., ET.
The list of 20 NASDAQ-listed stocks being transitioned on Monday, October 16th will be available for testing. This list is available on the NASDAQ Trader website in text or csv formats.
What do I need to do to participate in the UAT on Sunday, October 15?
If you wish to participate in this test of the integrated systems, please register by 12:00 p.m., ET, Thursday, October 12, 2006, in one of the following ways:
- Email your name and phone number to OpsQa@nasdaq.com.
- Call the NASDAQ Testing Facility (NTF) at 800.243.4284 (option #4).
The details of the UAT will be communicated closer to the testing date.
