On August 13, 2019, CBS Corporation (CBS & CBS.A) and Viacom Inc. (VIA & VIAB) announced a merger transaction. The transaction is will become effective today, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 4:30 PM ET. As a result of the completion of the merger, Viacom Inc. Class A and Class B Common Stock will be suspended from trading on Nasdaq and CBS Corporation Class A and Class B Common Stock will undergo change to its corporate name, ticker symbols, and CUSIP numbers, and list both securities on the Nasdaq Global Select market. The suspension details are as follows:
As a result of the effectiveness of the Merger of Equals the combined company will be renamed to ViacomCBS Inc and will list their Class A and Class B Common Stock on the Nasdaq Global Select market. The details are as follows:
