Nasdaq Introduces Purge Ports

Beginning October 21st, The Nasdaq Stock Market (Nasdaq), Nasdaq BX, and Nasdaq PSX will introduce Purge Ports. Separate purge ports will be available for both the OUCH/FLITE and RASH/FIX protocols and will allow the ability to cancel open orders and disable/re-enable order entry. Please note that the initial implementation will only include the ability to cancel open orders, and the ability to disable/re-enable order entry on a given port will be introduced in Q1 2025.

Mass cancellation on the purge ports will be available at the following levels:

  • MPID
  • Account
  • Group ID
  • Symbol
  • Side

Purge ports will be made available on an exchange-by-exchange basis as follows:

PSX: October 21st

BX: October 22nd

Nasdaq: October 23rd

RASH/FIX: October 24th

Users will be able to order production ports starting October 14th with the expectation of receiving connectivity details on October 18th. Users can coordinate with Nasdaq Trading Services to certify new ports in NTF in order to receive connectivity details for production.

Testing Opportunities

Testing is currently available in the Nasdaq Testing Facility (NTF) and Saturday UAT production testing will be available on October 19th.
