UPDATE 2/24/2020: Nasdaq to Add an Additional Summary Spin to the Summary Spin Transmission Schedule

UPDATE 2/24/2020: Nasdaq has rescheduled the release date for the additional Summary Spin to the NFN transmission schedule.

Effective Monday, April 6, 2020, Nasdaq will add an additional Summary Spin at 8:05 a.m. ET to the Summary Spin Transmissions. The new spin will be spin #1 in the transmission schedule.

Additionally, Nasdaq is adding a new Reporting Type of “P” to the Summary Spin messages, to indicate previous day price updates entered on current day.


What is changing?

Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020, Nasdaq will add an additional Summary Spin to the Summary Spin Transmissions.

This additional spin will affect the existing spin count as follows:

In addition to the new Summary Spin, Nasdaq is adding a new Reporting Type to indicate previous days price updates entered on the current business day.

How can I test this NFN change?

In preparation for this release, Nasdaq will offer the following client testing opportunities:

Nasdaq will offer one Saturday User Acceptance Test (UAT) for NFN issuers, pricing agents and market data vendors on:

  • Saturday, March 7, 2020 - UAT
  • Saturday, April 4, 2020 - Confidence Test

Nasdaq is also disseminating nightly test data via the following transmission IP multicast channels information:
